BAPE NYC Celebrates 10 Years With A Huge Party

Last week, hundreds of A Bathing Ape fans gathered at UP & Down in the Meatpacking District to celebrate the SOHO store’s 10 year anniversary.

Honored guests (and collaborators) included Pusha T, Travi$ Scott, Flatbush Zombies, Futura, Stash and RSVP Gallery. Along with the party, BAPE released a limited-edition capsule collection designed by 10 artists, influencers and brands that embody the ethos of the brand.

Guests enjoyed cocktails by Henessy and Heineken and mingled while trap music and the Top 100s blared in the background. A few hours into the event, onlookers hoping to gain access to the party increased the foot traffic outside, and as the club reached capacity, Travis Scott and Pusha T performed a few of their hits, which was reminiscent of the Rodeo Tour. One lucky photographer was invited to stand on top of the DJ booth and assist Travis with getting the crowd way, way turnt.

At one point, the huge Restoration Hardware-like chandelier rocked out of control from all the hype from the crowd, and that pretty much defined how excited people were to be celebrating a milestone with BAPE.

Over the past two decades, BAPE, also known as Bathing Ape, has been an iconic Japanese- inspired streetwear brand with major influences thanks to their innovative collaborations with brands such as G-Shock, Reebok, Marvel Comics and Adidas, and artists such as Pharrell, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Beastie Boys and Kaws.
