Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski’s Supermodel Star Power May Just Knock You Out

What happens when two of the hottest models on the planet come together in one magazine?

Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski both bring it in a major way in the fall/winter issue of Editorialist Magazine. PEOPLE got an exclusive look as the models divulged details about their skyrocket into superstardom over the last year.

Gracing the magazine’s cover is 18-year-old Hadid. She may be known for her edgy, sometimes “goth” look, but the model says she’s a “good girl.”

“People think because I say I’m the black sheep that I’m a rebel or this crazy person that does drugs. I promise, I’m a good girl,” Hadid, whose big sis is fellow top model Gigi, lamented in the magazine’s most recent issue. “I literally order sushi, watch Law & Order and go to sleep at 9 o’ clock every night — I’m a grandmother!”

While Hadid is already mastering the art of pushing the envelope, with her edgy-yet-glam look, Ratajkowski said in the issue that she’s ready to stray from the predictable in her own career. Her note to Hollywood big-wigs? No typecasting.

“If I could choose anything for my next movie, it would be someone who has nothing to do with being pretty or attractive,” the 24-year-old model/actress said. “I’d love to play a role that surprises people.”

Ratajowski rose to prominence after appearing in the music video for Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.” Since then, the star has made a name for herself outside of the modeling industries. This summer, the actress stars alongside Zac Efron in “We Are Your Friends,” a film about a twenty-something who dreams of hitting it big in the Los Angeles dance music scene — a role for which Ratajowski drew on her Southern California upbringing.

Like Ratajowski, Hadid grew up in the Golden State, but relocated along with her model sis Gigi to New York. While Hadid has definitely set herself apart from Gigi, she said in her Editorialist cover story that working with her big sis is always a good time.

“During one shoot, we literally sang Broadway songs the whole time,” the teen said.

In addition to the fame of her sister and her mom Yolanda Foster’s former-model status, social media played a role in propelling Hadid’s career. Over time, she said, her Instagram account has moved from personal to business.

“Now I just try to base it off of work,” she said. “It’s such a big part of so many things right now. Back in the day, you really had to hustle, but these days you don’t need a portfolio. You can just look up someone’s Instagram.”
