Bethenny Frankel Knocked For Posing In 4-Year-Old’s Clothing

Former talk show host and reality star, Bethenny Frankel is a little bit of heat after posting a photo to her Instagram page. “This is my daughter’s nightgown and PJ shorts,” she said in her 4-year-old’s clothing. “Think we’re ready to start sharing clothes yet?”

The self-designated “skinny girl” showed off how tiny she is and how big her daughter is getting, without any tone of animosity or disapproval. But that didn’t stop the conversation from going to body image.

One commenter said, “You are SICK? Are you trying to promote eating disorders???” and another noted “Really don’t think your sending your daughter a good message: She probably thinks ‘wow my mom’s a lot older than me and can fit my clothes,’ so I must be really big for my age.” While others saw in more innocently, “I think it’s cute!”

“What I love about doing my talk show is connecting to women. I love the opportunity to inspire, to be inspired and to be able to help women to be their best, succeed and feel better about themselves,” she wrote. “I also love working with such an incredibly talented and hard working staff and crew.”

The former Bravo star admitted that although it was tough to tell her crew that they were out of the job, she didn’t enjoy some of the elements that the job required. “Unlike my time on Bravo, I felt a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted. I am a free spirit,” she continued. “When interviewed about the show, I always said that it could only work if I was true to myself and only if it was genuinely a good fit and marriage which it turned out not to be.”

“So to answer how I feel, I am relieved. What I really want right now is to be with my daughter, to do yoga, to focus on Skinnygirl and my writing, and to give myself a break. I have been striving and climbing and white-knuckling for so long that I need a rest from the grind. I’m a little over myself and wouldn’t blame anyone else for being over me as well.”

While Frankel is rumored to be shopping a reality TV show, it’s clear that her main focus is her daughter, even if commentors don’t like the message she’s sending her.
