Billboard Music Awards 2015: These Stars Followed a No Underwear Dresscode (Hi, Jennifer Lopez!)

Music award shows always bring out the best and the boldest in skin-baring trends. And at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday in Las Vegas, the gowns were so sexy, that stars had no choice but to leave their undergarments at home.

Rita Ora hit the carpet in one of the most provocative looks of the evening, a white Fausto Puglisi gown with gold hardware (which she accessorized with Jennifer Fisher jewels). And not only did the design feature a completely cutout stomach, it also had crazy slits and back cutouts for maximum exposure at every angle.

Ora revealed that she had to skip underwear altogether to pull off the look.

“I didn’t really think that far ahead, so I’m just going to have to pray to the Lord that we’re going to be okay,” she told E!’s Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet, adding, “I’m going to keep my legs crossed. You need to take risks, and I think me being a crazy, fashion lover, I needed to do something. It’s good, though. I like it. I like taking a few risks once in a while.”

Trailing right behind Rita in the sexy gown department, Jennifer Lopez gave fans a peek of what kind of style they can expect from her upcoming Vegas residency, wearing a glittering sheer-stomach Charbel Zoe couture gown, a look very similar to the see-through sequin stunner she wore to perform on the American Idol finale. Oh, and then there’s the crazy sheer design she wore to the Met Gala. (She’s the queen of the naked dress!)

Taraji P. Henson wore a mega cutout Alexandre Vauthier gown (you’ve seen it before on Miley Cyrus), and the dress would make Cookie Lyon (her kickass Empire character) very proud. And lastly, Iggy Azalea selected a skintight sheer-paneled skirt and matching crop top that left little to the imagination (and probably required some double-sided tape to stay in place).
