Blazin’ Beauty: Jessica Jarrell

Burgeoning songstress Jessica Jarrell may be just 20 years old, but she’s got the work ethic of a veteran. Releasing music since her early teens, the raven-haired beauty has already logged studio time with the likes of Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson and established a fiercely dedicated fan base.

Today, Jessica is settling into a more adult sound as she continues to churn out new music, including the well received single “Gravity” and upcoming album Goldblooded; another word for tough or bad-ass. A quick glance at her Instagram feed and YouTube channel displays the perfect recipe for a pop star; drop dead gorgeous looks, fierce dance moves and impressive pipes.

“I always had an idea of what I wanted to sound like and what I wanted to have my videos and live shows look like, but it’s awesome because I’m just now getting to do that,” she tells StyleBlazer. “I feel like I’m in that sweet spot because I’m old enough to do some of the sexier looks I’ve wanted to do, but I can still be fresh and have fun with them.”

And while many may see social media as a crutch for entertainers, Jessica has used just about every platform to her advantage. Consequently, not only do fans keep up with fresh music; they’re looking for fashion and beauty inspo as well.

“Hair is literally everything to me. I’m so picky about it and I always like it to look luscious. I always brush my hair out and I like to use ‘It’s A 10’ Leave In Conditioner,” says Jessica of her gorgeous mane.

“If I’m wearing it curly, I just do that with a little water and then I’m done. Most of the time I like my hair in soft waves, so I usually curl it with a wand or medium size barrel and then when I’m done, I spray it with Rusk Shine Spray. I like rusk because it doesn’t weigh your hair down or make it look oily; it just gives it a nice natural glisten. When I’m going to bed, I put it in two braids and call it a night.”
