Blingy Earrings Are Making a Comeback, Just Ask Beyoncé

Big, standout statement jewelry is generally reserved for red carpet season — when celebs are wearing gems that cost more than most of us will spend in our lifetimes. So it was an interesting shift when stars like Beyoncé, Heidi Klum and model Toni Garrn started choosing them for “everyday” red carpet events. But we’re not gonna lie — the surprising trend is giving us so much holiday accessorizing inspo!

All three stars recently stepped out in Lorraine Schwartz drop earrings that hold an impressive (no, mind-boggling) amount of bling. Queen Bey wore carved ruby and jade earrings to the Tidal X: 1020 Amplified by HTC concert on Tuesday that were set with 70 carats of rubies and 15 carats of fancy diamonds (translation: A lot). You know they’re knockouts if they can distract our gaze from her plunging, thigh-high gown.)

Klum went with a pretty chandelier shape — adorned with over 100 carats of emeralds — to the 2015 Angel Ball on Monday (where she met up with designer Lorraine Schwartz herself). We love how she wore them with sleek straight strands and a neutral-colored gown to really let the diamonds, well, shine.

Finally, Garrn went with Schwartz’s classic “twist earring” (made up of 35 carats of diamonds) at the 2015 Angel Ball. It’s official: We’re crashing a black-tie event just to get to a chance to wear a pair like this.
