Coach Sales May Be Declining, But The Brand Promises A Turnaround

If you ask us, Coach has had quite an exciting start to the year! Amidst talk that their sales were steadily declining, the company announced the acquirement of Stuart Weitzman, and even made the decision to go into high fashion territory – which had us pretty excited!

But while customers like us are buying into the brand’s new cool-girl vibe, reports are proving that it’ll take some time for sales numbers to catch up. According to Fashionista, the company’s revenue this quarter “amounted to $929 million, down 15 percent year-over-year and lower than $950 million the company was expected to bring in.” And to make things worse, the brand took the hardest hit from North American sales.

Of course a number of things are the cause of Coach’s less-than-spectacular results – the closing of stores, reduction of promotional offers and even flash sales, to name a few – but the brand continues to promise a successful turnaround. Coach’s CEO, Victor Luis, and CFO, Jane Nielsen, told Fashionista that their transformation plan “to get to a place of best-in-class profitability and sustainable growth” still remains a priority.

While we hope for the best for the brand, there’s no denying that Coach carries a large variety of seasonal must-haves. From their oversized sunglasses to bright-colored wallets, there are a few things we’ve been eyeing.

Click ahead for a few Coach buys we don’t mind flaunting.
