Since resolutions are the talk of the town these days, there’s something you should know.

Whatever you’ve set in your mind to accomplish this year can be done, and made easier, with the help of colors. Yep, we’re talking mental triggers created by color association that can motivate one to save money, spend time with loved one’s and even exercise.

“The number one reason people don’t accomplish their goals is due to a lack of genuine connection to them but surrounding yourself with specific colors can help change that,” said color expert Kate Smith.

“The science behind our subconscious responses and emotional links to colors are complex. If you have ever felt blue, blacked out, or seen red you have connected color to a physical or emotional response. These powerful connections to different hues are so strong sometimes that they bypass the “thinking” part of the brain and instantly trigger an action or emotion. Color can sneak past the part of your brain that keeps you from moving forward, so by the time the naysayer in your mind wakes up, you’re already taking action towards achieving your next goal.”
