Skin concerns aren’t something I deal with heavily during the winter. Other than applying more and richer lotion (highly recommend raw shea butter), I don’t have to do much to adjust. But if there’s one thing that does annoy me, in terms of my beauty routine, it’s the daily struggle with mascara.
Having very sensitive eyes already, the below freezing chills and the three block walk to my Brooklyn train, totally diminish any semblance of poppin’ lashes. The popular brands that everyone swears by tend to pack a punch in terms of product but don’t do much to protect the eye.
For guidance, we did a little digging and found out that there’s a mascara for every type of girl. For my sensitive eyes, there are options that are on the organic end of the spectrum. But experts say to avoid mascara all together during the chillier months, as they tend to dry out lashes.
