Elie Tahari Teams Up With Kohl’s As Next DesigNation Designer

When it comes to designer collaborations Kohl’s is on the money. Since the inception of their DesigNation capsule collection, launched in 2012, the retailer has partnered with four big name designers– Narciso Rodriguez, Derek Lam, Catherine Malandrino and Peter Som. And even though their most recent collection has yet to hit shelves, they’ve already lined up their fifth big name. According to WWD, the retailer named Elie Tahari as their next designer partner in the DesigNation series. Set to launch fall of 2014, the collection will also mark Elie Tahari’s 40th anniversary. The collection, inspired by New York, “will reflect the sophisticated urban chic vibe of the city” using “luxurious fabrics, subtle textures and intricate detailing.” It will feature dresses, sweaters, knit tops and bottoms, which will range in price from $40 to $175.
