Givenchy Has A Very Unlikely New Face

Riccardo Tisci’s list of unlikely campaign faces continues to grow, with the fresh addition coming from another fashion house.

As shared by Givenchy’s talent himself, the Italian brand is tapping Donatella Versace as its new face. The designer and businesswoman who’s kept house of Versace going for 18 years, apparently worked with Tisci for winter 2015.

As reported by WWD:

Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci dropped the bombshell on his Instagram account, saying, “So proud and honored to introduce my new ultimate icon” and displaying a teaser image: A portrait of the two Italian designers in profile, like a two-headed coin. Tisci noted that more information on the “Givenchy Family Campaign” would be coming soon. He also gives a run of hashtags that suggest his collaborators on the ads: photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and stylist Carine Roitfeld.

This will be the first time the two Milan-based designers have worked together, although Tisci did attended Versace haute couture show last January. In response to the news Versace said, “Together we break fashion boundaries today!”

Tisci has had Julia Roberts, Erykah Badu and Amanda Seyfried pose for him in the past.
