Long and lean is the silhouette for the fall. From waterfall vests to duster cardigans, it’s all about extending the length of your top and adding movement to your outfit.
However, the long and lean trend isn’t just for the tall and thin. It can be tricky, but with the proper styling, everyone can rock this trend.
To make the look work for you, keep the length of the top duster hip length or longer for maximum effect. For duster coats mid-calf or longer, pair with a heel for a lengthening effect (and to keep the garment from dragging on the floor). Also, when dealing with this sort of voluminous top, it’s better to keep the bottom slim or skinny cut, or belt the coat and wear with flared pants for a groovy ’70s vibe.
