Here’s All The Shade Isaac Mizrahi Had For Naomi

Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi was the king of the industry back in the 1990s’, but according to his appearance on Bravo’s Fashion Queens, there was one who joined him on the top of the hill that was tough to work with.

In an episode that ran over the weekend (May 31), the designer, who has worked with almost every model in the business, spilled the tea involving his rough experience with a certified legend. “They all had their sort of difficulties,” he said when asked to reveal who was the most difficult to handle. “I would say Naomi [Campbell] was not the easiest girl to work with.”

Mizrahi, 53, who often brings his flamboyant personality to many television programs, pegged the British modeling icon as being unreliable. “You would do these long fittings on her, right. I promise you for hours, fitting, and she was very conscientious. I guess if she had fun at the fitting, she liked the clothes, she would show up to the show,” Mizrahi said. “The day of the show I was a mess backstage because you never knew if she would actually arrive for the walkthrough.”

Campbell, whose had her fair share of controversies over the past two decades, has yet to respond to Mizrahi’s claims. Considering that he was king of the design world, and she, the queen of the catwalk in the ’90s, it is interesting to learn that there was an element of contention between the two stars. “If she didn’t like the clothes, things would end up very differently. Someone would come in advance and say, ‘Oh, sorry, Naomi’s not coming.’”

Thankfully, it all worked out for both parties, as Mizrahi admitted to the Bravo television viewing audience that “she [Naomi] just had to show up and it was perfect.”

Over the weekend, Campbell celebrated her birthday at Cannes. The recently-turned 45-year-old model threw herself a party where guests had to pay $1,800 to get on the guest lists, where stars such as Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mary J. Blige all forked over the dough to celebrate the beauty’s born day.
