There really is no reference book when it comes to religious holidays and dress code. For most of us, we default to demure as possible. And for Easter in particular, the holiday many Christians chose to make rare appearances, one wants to blend in.

OK, calm down, we got you.

Easter being at the beginning of spring is the perfect opportunity to wear color, as vibrant as possible. It’s also a moment to be a bit youthful but in a tactful way. Instead of the lacy socks and white stockings mama made you wear, go for pleats, asymmetrical cuts and lace applique– make it modern and grown.

And as for that demure theory, yes, you should aim for below the knee hemlines. But if the dress is mini, class it up with a covered shoulder via a stylish blazer or coat.

If all else fails, shop through the picks we’ve gathered for you on the next pages.
