Jessica Simpson Is Expanding Her Billion-Dollar Business to Include a Line of Activewear This Fall

Here’s some style news we totally saw coming: Jessica Simpson is launching an activewear line!

The singer-turned-designer’s billion-dollar business, the highly successful Jessica Simpson Collection, which currently features apparel, footwear and accessories, is expanding to include a line of athleisure wear called, Jessica Simpson The Warm Up.

For the fashion mogul, who is joining the ranks of stars like Carrie Underwood, Kate Hudson and even Shay Mitchell, launching a line of athleisure wear was a natural progression for the collection, says Tina Simpson, the star’s mother and the creative director of the brand.

“Whatever was going on in Jessica’s life at the time, we said we should be there. We had been looking at active for a bit, trying to find the right partner,” she told WWD. “Jessica works out every day — pretty much an hour-and-a-half every day.”

The “authentic workout apparel” will include performance leggings (made with sweat-wicking materials), colorful, printed sports bras and bold statement track jackets, with prices ranging from $24 to $49, and is set to hit Macy’s shelves at the end of October.
