Jessie James Decker Takes PEOPLE Inside Her Fall Clothing Collection (and Her Closet!)

She recently welcomed her second child (a son with New York Jets star Eric Decker), she has a top 20 single on the country charts and she’s already started designing her spring 2016 Kittenish collection for Kora Rae. (We’ll say it again, she JUST had a baby one month ago!)
Basically, there’s nothing Jessie James Decker can’t do. Below, PeopleStyle caught up with the super-busy, super-stylish and super-REAL mom.

What is it like collaborating with designer Rachel Turzer at Kora Rae?
“I love working with Rachel, we are always on the same page with everything. Even in our design meetings we will just look at each other, and we both know if we like something or not. It’s so important to have that with your business partner. Oh and she’s fabulous and has excellent taste!”
What are your favorite pieces from the fall Kittenish collection for Kora Rae?
“I love everything but my favorites of the moment are our “Ross” leather pants [yes, named after the Ross Geller and his famous leather pants] and our “Vivianne” romper [named after her 18-month-old daughter Vivianne Rose].”
What inspired your move into the fashion world?
“I have always loved fashion and feel it’s another way to express my creativity. It’s art and beauty combined.”
What’s the inspiration behind your Kittenish collection?
“I wanted to design clothes to help build confidence. There are so many different styles to choose from to help figure out what suits you best. I wanted to make sure these pieces not only made you look good, but feel good as well.”
What’s one piece every girl should have in her closet for fall?
“Flannel is key! I have a 100 of them from over the years and always will have them, like my Rachel Green plaid shirt. They never go out of style.”
What’s the oldest thing in your closet?
“I have cut-offs from 9th grade from Hollister.”
What’s one thing your sister always steals from your closet?
“My shoes.”

What’s one thing you’ve stolen from your mom’s closet and won’t give back?
“Lots of her comfy tee shirts and, of course, flannels.”
What’s the best way to style a pair of black skinny jeans?
“I would pair it with either an oversize sweater and boots or high heels and a leather bomber jacket.”
How has your style changed since becoming a mom?
“Well, my boobs have gotten really big from nursing, so I’m always trying to cover them now and figuring out ways to be creative with that. Ha!”
What’s Eric’s favorite date night look?
“He loves me when I look sleek and my hair is all done up.”
What pieces of clothing do you want to save to pass down to Vivianne?
“My wedding dress.”
