Justin Bieber Continues to Wear Clothes That Make Us Say, ‘What Do You Mean?’

Justin Bieber may only be 21, but he’s gone through more style phases than celebrities three times his age. There was the mask and hat moment; the swaggy, baggy dropcrotch pants debacle; that time he wore these shorts; and who could forget those few months when he was just fedorable.

But if you thought that perhaps as he entered his 20s, he might take you on less of a sartorial roller coaster ride, we hate to be the ones to inform you that he’s entered his tunic and straightjacket phase.

The singer and occasionally mustachioed young man attended an event at the Beverly Hills Barneys New York which was hosted by stylist Karla Welch. He was sleepy, mind you, but he still attended. “Long day but had to come and show love to my girl Karla!” he wrote to accompany the above photo on Instagram.

He also had to show love to an assortment of pieces, including a Hood by Air sweatshirt with extra-long drawstrings, which can be yours for only $625; an extra-long T-shirt material tunic worn to his knees; black crackle leather skinnies; spotless white slip-ons; and the crowning achievement, a flannel baseball cap worn underneath the hood of the sweatshirt, for extra head protection and warmth. (If you’re surprised by his latest look, don’t be: He just announced a few months ago that he’s “really into, like, drapy things, drapy sweaters, layering pieces.”)

If you are interested in spending thousands of dollars to achieve a similar look, you may be in luck: Bieber says he’s interested in launching a clothing line soon. But not until he can make the ultimate straightjacket-esque hoodie of his own. “I haven’t lost that passion. It’s just such a big deal,” he said. “I just want to make sure it’s perfect and right and take my time with it.”
