Lane Bryant’s #PlusIsEqual Campaign Is Fierce!

The campaign shows off its fall collection with Graham, Huffine, Precious Victoria Lee, Justine Legault, Georgia Pratt and Sabina Karlsson wearing sexy little black outfits. Shot in black and white, the campaign continues Lane Bryant’s mission of making plus size more mainstream in the fashion industry and in the media.

On its website, the brand reminds everyone that “Sixty-seven percent of U.S. women are size 14 to 34, but they’re underrepresented on billboards, magazines, TV … everywhere.”

“We believe all women should be seen and celebrated equally.”

The campaign also encourages customers to add their voice to the cause by posting on social media with the hashtag #PlusIsEqual”, which already has a social reach of over 2 million.

This is the second major campaign, following their very successful #ImNoAngel campaign for spring. Calling out Victoria’s Secret for their “Perfect Body” ads, Lane Bryant has got plus size appreciation down to an art. And if there is anyone doubting that a plus size model can headline a major fashion campaign, you only have to look at this campaign.
