Look of the Week: Kristen Bell’s Rosy Moment at the ‘Concert for Our Oceans’ Event

We’re constantly updating our Last Night’s Look gallery with all the best red-carpet moments (gorgeous dresses! dazzling accessories! sky-high heels!). Now, let’s talk beauty. Each week, we’ll be highlighting one of the most gorgeous makeup and/or hair moments, along with details on how to recreate the look — straight from the makeup artist or hairstylist — in our feature, Look of the Week.

Rosy cheeks are a huge trend for fall. And paired with a poppy pink pout, you can completely elevate the cheeky look to create a fresh-faced, monochromatic beauty moment. Which is exactly what Kristen Bell‘s makeup artist of 14 years, Simone Siegl, did for the star at the “Concert for Our Oceans” event in Beverly Hills Monday.

For the ocean-themed event, Siegl opted for a playful, matchy makeup look to enhance the star’s blue lace-up paisley Etro midi. “My inspiration started with the dress — [it had] such fun pattern and colors, so I wanted to stay with a fun look.”

Every time the makeup pro works with Bell, she says she always begins the day with a few minutes of skincare prep. And since the actress is a Neutrogena Naturals brand ambassador, Siegl’s kit is stashed with some of the star’s favorites from the brand. “I love using [the] Purifying Pore Scrub regularly to keep [Bell’s] skin clean and texture smooth, and the Hydro Boost Water Gel has hyaluronic acid, which is amazing for the skin and keeps it hydrated without making it oily,” she tells PEOPLE. “A great skincare routine will allow me to create a fresh-faced look.”

Once the star’s skin was prepped and glowy, Siegl tapped on Charlotte Tilbury’s Cheek to Chic Blush in Ecstasy to the apples of Bell’s cheeks to create a post-summertime flush.

And to match the star’s rosy flush, Siegl swiped on a few coats of a toned-down coral lipstick (Ilia’s Lipstick in Perfect Day) to pop against Bell’s blue-hued dress.

Wrapping up the look, Siegl created mega volume on the actress’s lashes with a few coats of Neutrogena’s Healthy Volume Mascara in Black and then added a few individual Ardell Knot-Free Medium Lashes in Black on the outer eye, plus a couple short individuals mid-eye to blend in with her own lashes.

So what did Bell think of the final look? Siegl says the star took one look in the mirror and said to the pro, “You did it again!”

Siegl adds that she always works well with Bell — and the duo often use their time together chatting about their families. “We always have fun sharing kids stories, as we both have little ones,” she tells PEOPLE. “We sometimes watch fun YouTube videos that people share. That night we were in a room with a bunch of other performers rehearsing their songs for the evening. Always fun to watch!”
