Makeup Monday: An Easy Everyday Look For Under $10

Keeping up an everyday makeup look is so much easier when the products are actually affordable. Usually, we count on e.l.f. Cosmetics for their brushes, but make no mistake; the makeup is amazing as well.

If you’re not here for $50 foundations and designer primer, shop e.l.f., where most of the products are under $10. This week, we used some of our favorites to put together an everyday look for summer.

Press play for the how-to and read written instructions below!

Products Used: Blemish Control Primer ($6), SPF 25 Foundation Serum ($8), Everyday Smoky Palette ($10), Beautifully Bare Lash Tint Mascara ($4),  Bronzer Palette ($6), Matte Lip Color- Berry Sorbet ($3)

Step 1: Prep the skin with e.l.f’s primer. For those who are suffering from a summer breakout, this medicated formula can also double as a satiny daily moisturizer.

Step 2: Apply the foundation serum with a makeup sponge. Use along for sheer coverage if you have clear skin or top off with a slightly heavier foundation. Since I’m dealing with oily pimples at the moment, Make Up For Ever’s updated HD Foundation Stick is a godsend.

Step 3: Draw on your brows. Whether it be a cream or pencil, ensure that they don’t melt away with a setting gel. I’m using the Marc Jacobs Brow Tamer.

Step 5: Using the e.l.f Everyday Smoky Palette, apply the lightest shade all over the lid as a base highlighter, medium shade to the crease for definition and darkest shade for a slightly smoky effect.

Step 6: Complete your dramatic eye look with a black eyeliner and mascara. The revolutionary brush on e.l.f’s Lash Tint Mascara makes clumping virtually impossible.

Step 7: Using a custom shade from e.l.f’s Bronzer Palette, apply the shade in a number 3 pattern–from temples to jawline–on either side of the face. Blend further with e.l.f’s Kabuki Brush so you’re not left with any awkward lines.

Step 8: Apply e.l.f’s Matte Lip Color alone or with lip balm for an extra glossy effect.

Step 9: Set the entire look with a translucent setting powder if you want a matte effect. Today, we’re setting with a homemade spray for a more dewy glow.
