Anyone who is easily distracted by a beauty how-to understands the power of a fool-proof hack. Although we love shopping for the hottest lipstick or mascara, it really doesn’t get better than finding new ways to use what we already own.

Besides saving money, it also fosters creativity and forces us to take our makeup looks next level. With so many beauty hacks just a click away, it can be difficult when deciding where to start. We suggest starting with the simplest tips for everyday items. This week, we’re focused on the eyes and lips because…why not?

1. Mess Free Mascara– Using a spoon (plastic preferred), place the hollow side against your eyelid and under the lashes as you apply mascara. It creates a more even application and eliminates the possibility of raccoon eyes–score!

2. Sleek & Straight Cat Eyes– Great news; your credit card isn’t just for buying clothes! When placed against the corner of your eye, it can be used as a straight and solid surface while applying your cat eye.

3. Matte To Glossy Lips- Step away from the Juvederm ; your lips can be made over without needles. If you prefer the matte look, apply your lipstick with eyeshadow; it also makes them look plump! Additionally, you can apply lip gloss over your favorite color if you really want to take it up a notch!
