Menswear: the Spring-Summer 2015 fashion soundtracks that made waves

As the Spring-Summer 2015 collections wound up in Paris we thought we’d check out the best soundscapes from the last few weeks of runway shows.

London
Craig Green – Enya
The emerging menswear talent reportedly reduced his London audience to tears with his pared back collection dedicated to the late Professor Louise Wilson, head of the MA course at Central Saint Martins and one of the city’s key fashion figures over the last decade. We think it also had much to do with two other things: an exhausted crowd, tired after two days straight of parties and presentations, and the presence of Irish singer Eithne Ní Bhraonáin, aka Enya, on the soundtrack.

Milan
MSGM – Yacht
The young Italian brand are making waves with their mix of irreverent humor, bright prints and cutting-edge (yet wearable) shapes. What better way then to cut through the standard min-tech musical backdrop of most shows than with some chirpy Portland, Oregon alternative pop from Yacht (Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans)?

Paris
Kenzo – Disclosure
With an open-air show dampened by wet June weather and an increasingly sodden fashion pack sitting under gloomy skies, there could have been a certain irony to Carol Lim and Humberto Leon’s choice of Disclosure’s “When a Fire Starts to Burn” as their runway soundtrack. But when the beat kicked in and models began to strut across the Pont Alexandre III, there was no mistaking it, Kenzo had nailed it again.
