After news of Mulberry facing a pretty rough financial year, things are finally looking up for the leather goods retailer. The label was challenged with an unexpected 74% collapse in full-year profit after its former CEO, Bruno Guillon, attempted to boost the brand’s luxury profile.

Luckily, according to The Guardian, the company’s retail sales have risen 17% in the past 10 weeks. And there’s one niche group of offerings to thank for the label’s recent success: its new lower-priced bags.

In an effort to connect back with its buying customers, the brand made a strategic U-turn in 2014 and created a line of handbags priced between $500 and $1,000. Now making up 71% of the collection, the affordable offerings range from chic crossbody’s like the Mini Lily to their spacious Blossom Tote. And thanks to reports from WWD, we now know this is just the beginning. The brand is also planning to align the price of its shoes and ready-to-wear separates with their bags – which means there’ll be more Mulberry in our closets soon.

Take a peak at some of our favorite affordable handbags from the luxury brand on the pages ahead.
