Rihanna Lands ‘Vogue’ Met Gala Cover (Plus Other June Covers We Are Coveting)

Not even Beyonce’s last-minute surprise appearance at the Met Gala could surpass Rihanna’s entrance up the red carpeted steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Clad in a canary yellow cape designed by Guo Pei, Rihanna stole the show as one of the very few celebs who embodied the China: Through The Looking Glass theme by actually wearing a gown designed by a Chinese designer.

Because of that, and because she is Rihanna, we were not surprised that Rihanna landed the cover of the Met Gala Vogue magazine for the second year in a row, beating the very sheer clad group of Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce.

She shared a photo of the cover on her Instagram, saying, “WOW!!! I am very honored to have this image selected for the cover of @voguemagazine!! #metgala2015 #art #fashion #Vogue.”

While we can’t wait to grab the issue and flip through to see rare behind the scenes photos from fashion’s biggest night, this is not the only June cover we need ASAP.

From Mindy Kaling on Instyle to Emma Stone for Interview magazine, and Rachel McAdams for Marie Claire, the women of Hollywood are proving that it takes more than a pretty face to succeeding in show business.
