Rita Ora And Other Real New Yorkers Are The Cool Kids Of DKNY’s Fall Campaign

Put simply, New York City is a very interesting place. People flock from all over the world to experience the city’s energy and one-of-a-kind vibe, making it a hotbed of creative activity and inspiration. For their newest ad campaign–#WeAreNYC–DKNY cast as models real New York City influencers who, through their medium–be it music, modeling, film making, art–continue to make the city special and unique.

The most recognizable face in the campaign is Rita Ora–a New Yorker at heart who proves you don’t actually have to live in NYC to be part of it’s essence. But you may also recognize model Soo Joo Park with her short blonde bob, or A$AP Illz from A$AP Mob.

The campaign is in celebration of DKNY’s 25th anniversary; the models even got to walk the catwalk during New York Fashion Week as a preview of what was to come earlier this year. On the campaign website DKNY introduces each model along with interviews about their New York experiences. It’s definitely worth a look to see how varied, but how allied by their NYC  love, these models are. From their looks to their hometowns to their favorite bars, each New Yorker represents a slice of the pulsing life of the city, and getting to know each person via DKNY’s platform is in a way a gift to the rest of New York and beyond.

The campaign itself is beautifully shot, grouping the models in such a way as to make them seem like the cool kids who intimidated you high school. But don’t let that put you off, New York City welcomes everyone–just read their bios to see.
