Saks Fifth Avenue Wants You To Dress Like Cookie Lyon

If you doubted the power of ‘Empire,’ its new partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue should end the second guessing once and for all.
The Fox juggernaut is teaming up with the retailer to bring the show’s costumes to life.
Similar to The Limited’s collaboration with Scandal, and bringing Olivia Pope’s White House style to life, the collection will give you the Cookie Lyon fashion starter kit. However, instead of designing the collection, it will be curated from pieces from brands already in the store.
“The lines between fashion and entertainment are intersecting,” said Marc Metrick, president of Saks Fifth Avenue. “Harnessing this moment is a key underpinning to our strategy as it brings energy and uniqueness to the shopping experience at Saks.”
On the list of designers included in this womenswear designer Cushnie et Ochs, Jimmy Choo, jewelry designer Alexis Bittar and handbags and accessories from MCM.
Along with Cookie, the curated collection will also bring Lucious, Jamal, Hakeem and Andre’s signature style to life.
The collection will be displayed in the windoes of the Saks’ New York City and Beverly Hills windows from Sept. 10 to Sept. 23, just in time for season two.
