On the list of things I hate, makeup that doesn’t stay put is at the top. Yes, I know makeup is temporary, but it should definitely last 24 hours to forever in my rule book.  I’ve lost time reapplying this and touching up that,but I think I might have something here with Cargo Cosmetics Swimmables Water Resistant Blush.

Whenever I stumble upon makeup that promises not to streak or fade, and is sweat-proof and weatherproof, trying it is a no brainer. Yes please!

Although I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about this product, and you can’t blame me. There have been plenty of products that delivered empty promises and poor performance, but the beauty junkie in me is always ready to give new products that sound this good a go.

The keywords “water resistant” and “blush” drew me in first, and then there was the color. I tried Cargo Cosmetics Swimmables Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos, a really beautiful soft tangerine color that’s perfect for summer.

I used a fluffy brush to apply the blush to apples of my cheek thinking to myself “here goes nothing”. I was hopeful that this product wouldn’t let me down on this hot 93⁰ day in Philly. After noticing the blush wasn’t as pigmented on my face as it was in the pan, I had to build up the color with 3 coats of blush; perhaps because I have brown skin. Nonetheless, I was pretty satisfied with subtle wash of color on my cheeks and natural glow. Now it was time to see how it would hold up throughout the day. The verdict is in.
