See Sofia Vergara’s Potential Wedding Gowns! (And Of Course, She’s Already Got Her Bridal Beauty Look ‘Down to a Science’)

In case you needed an official call to arms to start your Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello wedding countdown, it’s here! The bride-to-be, 43, is the cover star of Martha Stewart Weddings‘ Fall 2015 issue, clad in some very special designer gowns and dishing on her preparations for the big day. “I want a wedding where the guests are going to have fun,” she told the mag.

We can’t pretend to be shocked that one of the gorgeous gowns in the shoot was Marchesa (above). It’s one of Vergara’s favorite brands to wear on the red carpet— she wore a custom rose gold piece to the Met Gala this spring and has rocked it at several awards shows. The bridal gown she’s wearing here has a bodice covered in 3-D floral paillettes, and was presented in April at the St. Regis hotel in New York City. In the stunning cover shot, Vergara is wearing a curve-hugging gown with a lace overlay by Spanish designer Rosa Clará. For all you ladies who want to score the exact look, we haven’t seen it appear online yet (though this back shot on their bridal homepage seems to be pretty similar). Our fingers are crossed for at least one crazy-colored gown in the spread—the lady does look fantastic in bold shades.

Even though Vergara seems to still be in dress-picking mode, there are a couple of elements of the celebration that she’s got under control. First off, there will be sweets: “Cake is my favorite thing,” she says. “So the cake table is going to be super special, a big wedding cake and lots of desserts.” And second, she knows exactly what her beauty look is going to be. “I have it down to a science. I know it will take me two hours,” she says. We really are hoping she eschews her signature stellar blowout for some kind of dramatic updo. Sofia, heed our prayers!

Also, the star’s signature scent will play a big role on her big day: “I’m going to wear my fragrance—Sofía—because Joe loves it!” Perfume is extremely important to Vergara. She once told us, “Maybe it’s a Latin thing — we all grow up putting baby cologne on [babies]…”

Of course, there’s a ton to think about when it comes to planning this momentous life event, but the actress is pretty down-to-earth about what the wedding day will mean to her and her hubby-to-be. “It’s about creating memories that you’re always going to cherish,” she says. “That’s what’s important.”
