Selena Gomez Gushes About Amy Schumer as She Stuns in Sleek, Pink Dress at Hollywood Film Awards

Even when she’s keeping it low-key, Selena Gomez still manages to be a style standout.
The 23-year-old was seen at the 19th Annual Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday in Beverly Hills sporting a simple, elegant, sleek pink Narciso Rodriguez dress.

Gomez wore her hair down and to her shoulders, which played up the subtly sexy vibes of her spaghetti-strap slip dress. She added diamond jewelry from Dauphin and understated, glowy makeup. And most notably, she kept things relaxed at an event where stars including Jane Fonda made major style statements.
The “Good for You” singer was all smiles as she snapped pics at the event with Amy Schumer. Gomez presented the comedian with the Hollywood Comedy Award and gushed about Schumer, calling her the first comedian to “speak to the women of my generation.”
“I talk about her obsessively,” Gomez said of the Trainwreck star, according to E! Online. “I’ve tweeted her often. I try to impersonate her and it doesn’t really work.”

“Amy, you’ve inspired me not to take myself too seriously when I sit on my couch and I’m depressed about certain things,” she said as she stood at the stage’s podium.
“You constantly made me feel I’m a badass even though most of the time I’m not. You say the things I wish I could say and you never ever make me feel bad about anything I do in my personal life.”
Gomez joked about being happy that Schumer’s gal pal Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t there to present the award. But after taking to the stage, Schumer assured the singer, “I didn’t even ask Jen. Selena, you were my first choice.”
