While each style maven’s personal aesthetic may vary from person to person, there’s one thing we can all agree on loving: shoes. And now one brand is ready to prove that they know which shoe styles are most popular in countries around the world.

Shoes of Prey, an Australian DIY shoe-design company (and yes, their site is pretty amazing), accumulated a vast amount of data about styles, colors and materials as they relate to their one million global users. And the results are pretty astonishing! While there is no exact standard shoe for each country, according to Mashable, the company was able to highlight preferences of shoe fans located everywhere from Canada to New Zealand.

Data showed that overall the most popular shoe on a global scale is (drum role please) a closed-toe black stiletto – which leans more toward the boring side if you ask us. As far as other countries go, Australians opted for flats while the French preferred to keep it classy with a low-heeled d’Orsay back shoe.
