Tom Ford’s Spring 2016 Runway Show Is a Music Video Starring Lady Gaga!
If you were worried that Tom Ford was skipping out on Fashion Month, you can now rest easy. The designer has decided to show his spring 2016 collection via video, and has tapped Lady Gaga to help him do so.

The short film, directed by Nick Knight, features the singer and American Horror Story: Hotel star strutting and dancing down the runway, showing off the label’s upcoming spring launch.
“Instead of having a traditional show this season, I decided to try something new,” Ford told WWD. “I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online.”
And as for the background music? Ford enlisted Nile Rodgers to remake his hit song “I Want Your Love,” and asked Gaga to add her signature vocals.
“I have always loved “Soul Train,” which used to be on the TV in the ’70s,” Ford said on his website. “As it was as much about the clothes as the music.”

The show switch-up shouldn’t be a surprise to those who know Ford, though. The designer is a longtime fan of going off schedule and straying from the traditional catwalk presentation.
Last February, he debuted his fall 2015 womenswear collection in L.A. for the first time, while his menswear collections are only shown by appointment during London Fashion Week.
