She’s the subject of never-ending romance rumors and Hollywood gossip, but Chantel Jeffries is navigating away from the hate and into a career that goes far beyond sitting pretty. Signed to both Wilhelmina and UTA, the Instagram magnet is currently honing her craft and hoping to expand her appeal beyond the interwebs.
“I have always had an interest in acting. I was very involved in drama and theater growing up. I actually never thought I would get into the modeling industry, being that I am only 5’6”.” she tells us.
“I did a semester at New World School Of The Arts in Miami studying acting. Upon moving to L.A, I was finally able to get some coaching and start going to auditions.”
Although she agrees that the digital space has played a large part in her success, it’s also manifested an unofficial ranking system, where fans and critics alike automatically determine an up and comer’s value by who they’re associated with.
For Chantel–who has been subjected to this twisted sense of thinking–has quickly learned how that her offline moves are what really count.
“I feel that I’m happiest when I’m being productive and living in my own space. When I’m busy and working I don’t really have time to think about the nonsense.”
That includes maintaining what I feel are the fiercest eyebrows of all time. As someone who constantly struggles in that department, I had to know Chantel’s secret for keeping her’s so full and on point.
“When it comes to eyebrows, go as natural as possible. Don’t over pluck!,” she says. “Staying close to your natural shape and cleaning up the edges and trimming makes for the fullest and best shape to compliment your face. I’d suggest trying eyebrow tinting if you want a darker thicker look.”
