Willow Smith Just Landed a Major Marc Jacobs Campaign

At just 14-years-old, Willow Smith has already established herself as a style setter. She’s had spreads in Teen Vogue and T Magazine. She loves to be photographed at events wearing “high-fashion” things. And now the rising star has nabbed one of her biggest fashion gigs so far — a new Marc Jacobs campaign! Can you say, ‘Coolest high schooler ever?’

Even though we were also hoping for another Cher pic (have you seen her campaign photo?), Marc Jacobs revealed Willow’s shoot on Instagram calling her a “talented, stylish and charming” model. In the photo, she’s propped on a tall stool, posing in a full skirt, with an embellished coat nipped at the waist, accessorized with lace-up stacked heels.
In his comment, Jacobs got a bit #tbt nostalgic, recounting his very first campaign. “Ever since our first Juergen Teller ad in 1998 which featured Kim Gordon on stage wearing my dress, I have always preferred collaborating with the people who inspire me to give new life to the clothes we show on our runway,” Jacobs wrote.

He went on to list a slew of former models like Victoria Beckham, Sofia Coppola, Miley Cyrus. “Beauty, style and talent know no age. It is those individuals whose creativity, unique vision, and voice inspire all of us here to create and express ourselves through our medium: fashion.”
He concluded that his fall/winter 2015 campaign ads will feature different friends who continue to influence him, “evoke a sense of intrigue and inspiration and collectively provoke a true consideration for individuality.
His upcoming campaign is photographed by David Sims, and according to Jacobs’s caption, more will be revealed in the up-coming weeks.
