#WorkFlow Pieces You Need To Have This Fall

Fashion’s best season is almost upon us, and if you’re on the upper east coast you know that the weather will reflect the season sooner than later. This means that mornings and evenings (the time during which you are traveling to and from work) will be progressively cooler.

There are few things worse than walking all the way the down the steps of your third floor walk up to realize that it is colder than you anticipated. You then have to either tough out the walk to the subway or go all the way back upstairs to grab a layer.

We recommend putting your outfits together the night before, but come on, who’s really going to do that? The alternative is having a few staple pieces in your wardrobe that work well together. This will save you money and help you to mix and match a multitude of combinations to come up with looks you actually want to wear. The key is to buy pieces you like in colors that work well together.

You don’t have to go all KimYe circa 2013 and wear only black and white (not a bad idea though) but stick to a color palette that will go together when shopping and/or editing your closet for the new weather.

Here’s what you need to get your fall work wardrobe together.

Turtleneck

The turtleneck goes from day to night seamlessly. Wear it with high waist wide leg pants for a Gucci fall 2015 look at work, and afterwards switch to skinnies and a heel and you’re set.

We won’t say that super tight skinnies are dead, but the flare leg and wide leg cut have made a huge comeback. For some, they never left (see Rachel Zoe). An expertly tailored pair of flare or wide leg trousers will take you far this fall.
