If you are one of the many people that added weight loss to their list of New Years resolutions, then we too know that the struggle has already gotten very real.

Many experts agree that exercise alone is not enough to effectively lose weight. In addition to increasing your physical activity, you must improve your eating habits. In fact, many would argue that what you eat has a greater effect on weight loss than exercise.

With that being said, the key to sticking to your meal plan is preparation, and commitment.

We don’t know about you, but the greatest temptation for us comes during work hours when it can be easy to run to the deli and get something unhealthy for lunch, or during office birthdays when that buttercream cake is calling your name. We spend at least 40 hours a week at work, so make the most of that time. Use it to add to your weight loss goal, not an excuse to tap out.

Stay Prepared

Prepare meals for the day in advance the night before. Some people cook their meals for the week on Sundays, pack them up and store them in the fridge. This makes it easier throughout the week to grab lunch for the day and go.
