Macy’s is the latest company to say ‘You’re Fired’ to Donald Trump.

Following in the footsteps of Univision and NBC, Macy’s just announced that is will no longer carry Donald Trump merchandise in its store across North America. The string of firings comes after Trump said some derogatory comments about Hispanics, more specifically Mexicans, during his presidential announcement speech.

In the speech Trump said Mexicans were, “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people.”

Macy’s has sold Trump merchandise for over a decade, including men’s suits, ties and fragrances. Macy’s was presumably pressured to drop Trump after a petition gained over 700,000 signatures on Moveon.org, urging the company to drop Trump for his comments. The founder of the petition, Angelo Carusone, said to WWD, ““In the last few days, Donald Trump has demonstrated what participants in the Dump Trump effort have been warning Macy’s about for years — that Donald Trump’s brand of bigoted bullying is simply bad for business.”

Macy’s was also spurred to action due to its growing Latin market. The company just launched a clothing line with Mexican singer Thalia, and currently, 16 percent of store traffic is Latino and expected to keep growing.

In a statement released Wednesday, Macy’s said:

“Macy’s is a company that stands for diversity and inclusion. We have no tolerance for discrimination in any form. We welcome all customers, and respect for the dignity of all people is a cornerstone of our culture. We are disappointed and distressed by recent remarks about immigrants from Mexico. We do not believe the disparaging characterizations portray an accurate picture of the many Mexicans, Mexican Americans and Latinos who have made so many valuable contributions to the success of our nation. In light of statements made by Donald Trump, which are inconsistent with Macy’s values, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with Mr. Trump and will phase-out the Trump men’s wear collection, which has been sold at Macy’s since 2004.”

Trump urged his Twitter followers to boycott Macy’s after the announcement was made, and that those who “wanted to make America great again,” his campaign, slogan should stay away from the retailer, who is “weak on border security.”

For all of those who want to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain, boycott @Macys. They are weak on border security & stopping illegal immigration.

Following his firing from NBC, the real estate mogul also responded in typical Trump form saying, “If NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court. Furthermore, they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won’t stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be.”

Clearly, Trump has not learned his lesson when it comes to thinking before speaking, but it his bully persona that has gotten him fame and publicity over the years. From his Twitter feuds with Rosie O’Donnell to his over the top act on “The Apprentice,” it seems Americans have finally reached a breaking point with the Donald, and enough is enough. Even though everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and freedom of speech, Trump just clearly does not understand that ultimately he is an employee of Macy’s and NBC, and unlike at the Trump Organization, he is not untouchable.

Noticeably quiet surrounding the controversy is Trump’s daughter Ivanka, who also has a collection with Macy’s and was the one who introduced her father before giving his now infamous speech.
