Kristen Wiig can basically transform any into character possible. She’s been Harry Styles, Michael Jordan and most recently, Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen of Westeros, but now she’s channeling her inner sexy “Helmut Newton model” in a new spread for Violet Grey’s The Violet Files.

The star, 41, is featured in the latest cover story for the online magazine, and between the sexy coiffed hair, body-hugging LaPerla bodysuits and high-waisted underwear (not to mention the moody lighting and pitch-perfect Blue Steel), this definitely marks the actress’s most sultry shoot yet. See her posing seductively on a staircase, in the pool and in the garden (exactly where we wear our lingerie too).

In her interview (conducted by her Welcome To Me costar Tim Robbins), she shared what she’s been up to in Italy (she’s filming Zoolander 2 and if you haven’t seen her character’s crazy look, you’re missing out). “I have a little chunk of time off, and I’ve just been kind of exploring,” she shared. “It’s been a much-needed experience for me. Eating a lot and drawing and just running around… just running down the streets… the cobblestone streets.”

She also explains what it was like filming nude scenes for the new movie. “Being naked in a film or on stage isn’t always supposed to be sexy,” Wiig explains. “It was the part and it felt right, so I did it. Of course you’re nervous, and you know people are gonna make comments but if you care about that, your job instantly becomes more difficult. You have to do things for you.”
