Aaliyah’s Songs At Center of Lawsuit
Singer’s Music May Have Been Sold Illegally Reservoir Media Management has filed a lawsuit against Craze Productions over the supposed illegal sale of the late singer Aaliyah’s music. According to TMZ, the suit claims that Craze has been selling songs from the singer’s second and third albums on iTunes without permission or ownership. Reservoir Media claims that its the sole owner of that portion of Aaliyah’s catalog. The publisher reportedly acquired the rights in 2012 and says that Craze was never given permission to sell the music. Reservoir is currently seeking an injunction against Craze to prevent them from selling any more and is also seeking monetary damages. |
