What You’ll Need
- ¼ cup of distilled water
- ¼ cup of castile soap
- ½ tsp. of vegetable oil
- Measuring cup
- Whisk
- Plastic bottles
Directions
- Pour ¼ cup of distilled water into a large measuring cup. Add ¼ cup of castile soap to the distilled water.
- Combine the two ingredients together with a whisk. Stir in ½ tsp. of vegetable oil.
- Perform a final mixing with the whisk to combine the vegetable oil with the distilled water and castile soap. Pour the contents of the measuring cup into a plastic bottle.
Warnings
Do not forget to label your shampoos after preparing them. Use a waterproof marker to write directly on the bottle, or purchase waterproof labels.

- Choose plastic bottles with squeeze tops for easy application.
- Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the homemade shampoo to create a pleasing scent.
