I’m On My Fash (Fit and $tylish Hustle)

by LaChristin of Digital Curls

When I first started working out fashion sense was not my top priority, and I didn’t focus closely on my outward appearance. In fact, I would mix and match tops with whatever available bottoms I could find in my closet. Truthfully, I was content with simply getting fit, and that thought process continued until I began to lose an excessive amount of weight.  Once my clothes didn’t properly fit my shape, it became glaringly obvious to me that a shopping spree needed to happen ASAP!

In order to find clothes that fit the new me, I went to one of the most famous athletic apparel outfitters. None other than Nike, and where I live there’s a Nike outlet within my driving tolerance. Inside of the outlet I discovered a wide variety of reasonably priced products. Most items were discounted from their retail prices, which allowed for me to shop in abundance! I purchased Nike Dri-Fit because, I was curious to see if it was as advertised. To my surprise the ads didn’t lie, the Dri-Fit material was cool, breathable, and wicks moisture away from the body, which works well for me because like I have a tendency to sweat a lot!

I’ll admit I’ve grown fond of Nike, and in particular the Nike outlet. Let’s just say it’s a dangerous place for me to shop nowadays, LOL! If the outlet isn’t your cup of tea, Old Navy, Gap, Target, Wal-Mart, and a plethora of local and nationally based retailers carry stylish workout attire for every wallet size. I’ve purchased a ton of fitness fits at the above stated places as well.

On a more personal note, dressing stylish specifically to workout gives me a boost in confidence to display the results I’ve garnered from putting in hard work. I still approach my training with a “get fit first” mindset, but I will say that it makes me feel at my best when I’m looking my best courtesy of my Fa$H!

Squat Challenge Update: It’s been an amazing experience embarking on this journey with each and every one of you. Your heart felt comments have served as a source of inspiration, and provided me with an increased level of respect for the power of teamwork. Believe it or not, we’ve all achieved and accomplished a lot! Each of us will have completed 3,770 squats individually; however, the most important total was tallied by the collective efforts in supporting and encouraging one another.
