H&M Celebrates Summer Collections With Zoe Kravitz, Taylor Tomasi Hill At Summer Camp Party

With summer officially commencing this weekend, H&M’s summer camp party last night, June 19, at Café de la Esquina in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, seemed like the unofficial event opener for the season.

Though we’re sure the start of summer was on everybody’s minds, there was plenty more to fete as the event was held to celebrate the current summer collections, as well as Ashley Benson’s campaign with the retailer, and Taylor Tomasi Hill’s recent foray into the flower biz with @TTHBlooms. Models outfitted in cool cuffed denim, breezy button downs, beachy board shorts and ditsy printed dresses were accessorized with craft-sy floral crowns and bracelets—you know, the kinds that look effortless and whimsical, but would actually take the us three hours and countless do-overs in a camp workshop to perfect.

“Who wouldn’t want to take a brief trip back to summer camp as an adult? I’m thrilled to be working with H&M not only because I respect and wear the brand, but because it’s fashionable, accessible, and affordable!  They know how to execute an event their guests remember and reference,” said co-host Hill.

Halfway through the event, most guests were toting her floral crowns around their tussled waves (and frizz from the humidity), jamming out to DJ Mia Moretti’s spins, while they drank margaritas and noshed on tacos. Zoe Kravitz showed up just in time to perform for the buzzing audience around the campfire.

Her sound—a little indie rock, but a little soulful—was the perfect live soundtrack for the event. Sometimes we New Yorkers just need a little libation, a little music, and a lot of fashion to slow us down.
