Why Does Dwyane Wade Look Like Darkwing Duck In ‘Esquire’?!

Three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade has built a reputation on being a pretty snazzy dresser. In fact, he is one of the best dressed hoop stars in the league. Yet, yesterday, his recent appearance in Esquire left a bit to be desired.

Wade’s bold fashion statement, which you can see in the photo above, was posted to his Instagram and instantly was lit up by the jokester section of the Internet. The Esquire photo shoot attempted to reinforce the notion of Wade’s fearless fashion aplomb, but seeing the baller formerly known as “Flash” with his hands on his hips, showing off his bare chest, and Carlos Boozer-esque belly button was a bit much.

Wade, 33, captioned his IG post with the hashtag — #ifyoucantpullitoffyouwontunderstandit — which is pretty appropriate. Rocking a black suit with a royal blue blazer draped over his shoulders, the Internet aptly took the Chicago native to the paint for his fashionable offense. From being compared to Disney cartoon star Darkwing Duck to being roasted and called Vampire in Brooklyn — D-Wade took it back to the early ’90s with his jumpsuit and blazer combination.

With some calling his attire, “MC Hammer inspired,” Flash pushed the envelope with the plunging neckline and the cleavage showcase. Despite raking in more than 46,000 likes on the ‘gram, the three-time NBA champion could not escape the wrath of the Internet.
