Air Share Unreleased Version of "Playground Love" From The Virgin Suicides Reissue

Air have shared an unreleased version of their track “Playground Love”, from a January 2000 broadcast on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” in Los Angeles. It comes from the 15th-anniversary reissue of Air’s score for Sofia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides

Thomas Mars of Phoenix co-wrote, sang, and played drums on the original studio version of “Playground Love”, under the pseudonym Gordon Tracks.

The Virgin Suicides – 15th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, out June 16 via Warner Bros. and Parlophone, features bonus tracks of album cuts from a 2000 live recording at Los Angeles’ American Legion Hall, as well as tracks from the January 2000 KCRW broadcast. The reissue also contains a remastered version of the original score, and outtakes from the studio recording. Check out the full tracklisting here.

The reissue follows the announcement of Air’s Nicolas Godin’s first solo album, Contrepoint.
