In this clip from a 1999 interview with DJ Julio G of L.A.’s 92.3 The Beat, Ice-T discusses being the first rapper signed to a major label, and also being the first rapper dropped from a major label.
“I don’t really care man, when I make music I just make what I feel and let the chips fall where they may,” he explains.
The Crenshaw spitter also discusses his keys to success, saying that he never makes the same mistake twice and always comes correct in his business dealings.
