Is This Really Kelly Price’s Vision For Not Your Mama’s Monologues?

The season finale of R&B Divas LA ended with the Divas Monologues that four of the six ladies worked so very hard on. Michel’le, Lil’ Mo, Chante Moore, and Claudette Ortiz really put their hearts into their monologues sharing some really intimate details about their past. Claudette shared the pain of being raped at the age of 14 leaving her with little self-worth. Both Michel’le and Lil Mo hit rock bottom with suicide attempts, and Chante Moore shared her unrealistic expectations of love and marriage, plus dating an older man at 14. Each woman ended their monologues with a soulful song.

And then there were the other two….

Noticeably missing from the season finale were Dawn Robinson, and Kelly Price, who decided to do their own monologue series, Not Your Mama’s Monologues. Since the show didn’t air the Kelly Price version of the monologues, I decided to see if I could find it on YouTube. I believed I found it, and all I can say is that I hope this wasn’t Kelly’s vision for the monologues. If so, I’m so glad Chante Moore and Lil Mo found Mr. Fred, and did their own thing.

Even with the not so great quality, Dawn and Kelly did manage to deliver us some vocal perfection. However, I can’t wait to see the reunion to find out why Kelly Price was acting like the diva from you know where during this season. I saw someone I admire as a Godly woman turn into something else. I just need her to explain to us, why? *Spoiler alert* Dawn Robinson was a no show at the reunion. Poor child doesn’t do well in groups, obviously.Similar Posts:
