Kenya Moore Gets at Brandi Glanville for Alleged Racist Joke (@BrandiGlanville @KenyaMoore)

It’s no surprise that Brandi Glanville’s comments on an episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have led to controversy. Now, a Real Housewives of Atlanta star is addressing the episode.

On this week’s RHoBH, Brandi tries to get co-star Joyce Giraud, who is not Brandi’s favorite person in the world, to go swimming. When Joyce refuses, Brandi says that Joyce, who is Puerto Rican, is “a black person.”

Brandi’s co-stars are shocked, but Brandi explains that her black friends would think her comment was funny. Brandi goes on to say that her black friends wouldn’t want to get their weaves wet.

RHoA’s Kenya Moore was watching the episode and had quite a lot to say about it. “Not all Black women wear hair weaves,” Kenya tweets on December 9. “Half the women on #RHOBH are wearing some fake hair. Brandi cannot be more ignorant.”

“I love that Joyce owns her heritage and is educated about her what her ethnic background is #RHOBH,” Kenya adds.

And Kenya makes note of the fact that Brandi herself wants to remove her own weave later in the episode. “Case [in] point, Brandi removes her hair weave at the table. #RHOBH,” Kenya writes.

This isn’t the first time Kenya and Brandi have had issues. Brandi said back in June 2013 that Kenya “reeks of desperation,” and the two were reportedly involved in a fight in July 2013.
