Miley Cyrus’ Dad Doesn’t Seem Upset Over VMAs Performance (@mileycyrus @billyraycyrus)

Miley Cyrus’ VMAs performance gained a lot of negative attention due to the scandalous outfits and copious amounts of twerking, but her dad, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, didn’t seem too bothered. When asked by Entertainment Tonight what he thought about the performance, Billy said he’d always support his daughter. 

“Of course I’ll always be here for Miley. Can’t wait to see her when she gets home. She’s still my little girl and I’m still her Dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change.”

Meanwhile, Miley didn’t seem too upset about the negative press, as she tweeted “Smilers! My VMA performance had 306.000 tweets per minute. That’s more than the blackout or Superbowl!”
