Sunny D Spends the Day With Fat Trel

It’s been nearly four months since I last caught up with Washington D.C.’s Fat Trel and every time he visits my side of town, I make sure to catch up with the promising rapper. Raised in the hard streets of D.C., Trel continues to create music that reflects the daily struggles of living in the US capital along with finding moments of excitement and thrill with some of his more explosive records (“Go Crazy”). If you’re either on the streets or in the club, there’s always a Fat Trel record for me to blast thru my headphones.

Fat Trel recently visit New York while on promotional run of his current mixtape SDMG. Catching the attention of hip-hop heavyweights like Rick Ross & Master P, Fat Trel remains a free agent and in a label bidding war. Rocksmith also has seen great star potential in the rapper supporting his current project. I’ve had the pleasure of spending the day with Trel sharing about his newest project, his thoughts of New York City, and the excitement he had headlining his first show in the empire state.

He may be from the gritty streets of D.C. but understand that Fat Trel is a gentle giant and one of the funniest artists I’ve encountered.
