Jim is nationally exposed as a man who lacks integrity when a surprise guest joins his Dianna Whinchil interview. After the broadcast, sparks fly between Jim and David after Veronica instigates the tension. Maggie suggests that he drop out of the race, and Jim plans his revenge.

Meanwhile, Quita and Quincy are plotting to get Quincy Jr. back from Candace and Benny. After a visit from the police, Quita urges Quincy to get even with the Youngs.

At first, Hanna is skeptical when Benny shows her the tow yard and house that Candace bought for him. As promised, he tries to hide the identity of his benefactor. Then, Veronica visits Jeffery at the Sarandon Hotel and finds him with Landon.

When Allyah makes her house visit, Oscar tries to bolster Candace’s effort to gain custody by depositing money into Candace’s account in the caseworker’s presence as proof of Candace’s financial stability.
