When it comes to an overall beauty routine, I’m definitely the “less is more” type of gal. Although I love getting glammed up every once in awhile, my day to day look usually consists of primer, foundation, mascara, bronzer and a subtle lip color.

Similarly, my nightly skin care routine is the same. Besides a dependable face wash and moisturizer, I’ve steered mostly clear of those little necessities like eye creams. Now I totally wish I didn’t. Earlier this week, the skin around my eyes became unexpectedly irritated after what seemed like an hour of trying out new makeup.

Even after slathering coconut oil onto my tightened red patches, the sting of suffering skin lingered. Turns out you have to spoil yourself every once in awhile, even if you’re blessed with acne-free layers.
